Enjoy the sense of anticipation as you get ever closer to your dream holiday.

These are the roads that will take you there:

  • Via Munich: A10 Salzburg; motorway exit At Bischofshofen station, take the ‘ÖBB Tauernschleuse’ motorail train through the tunnel to Mallnitz. Next: B106 through the Möll Valley to Heiligenblut
  • Via Munich and Kufstein: along the Felbertauern Road to Lienz; then over the Iselsberg pass into the Möll Valley - Winklern- Heiligenblut
  • May to October only: on the Grossglockner High-Alpine Road. Munich – Kufstein –Pass Thurn – Mittersill – Bruck –Heiligenblut
  • Via Udine: A2 Villach, A10 Spittal – motorway exit Lendorf – Möllbrücke – along the B106 through the Möll Valley to Heiligenblut
  • A2 via Klagenfurt to Villach, A10 Spittal –motorway exit Lendorf – Möllbrücke – through the Möll Valley to Heiligenblut

Relaxed and eco-friendly: arriving by train

Train travel is a convenient, fast and environmentally friendly way to arrive in the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut region. Looking out the window at the stunning landscape of the Tauernbahn route will definitely put you in a holiday mood! 

Aim for the IC-EC railway station in Mallnitz-Obervellach, or alternatively in Lienz. Our local taxi company (Fleißner Taxis) will be happy to pick you up from the station and take you straight to your accommodation. Being kind to the environment has never been more comfortable!

Public Postbus - connections from Mallnitz-Obervellach train station:

With the new timetable you can reach Heiligenblut quickly, easily and without waiting. The Postbus goes to Heiligenblut just a few minutes after you arrive at Mallnitz-Obervellach train station. You can see the timetable here

Above the clouds: arriving by plane

Soar through the skies to start your holiday in the Hohe Tauern National Park! Germanwings, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines and (as of December 2017) Easyjet all fly to Klagenfurt airport. From there, a shuttle taxi can comfortably take you to your holiday destination.

Airlines flying to Klagenfurt

  • Eurowings offer direct flights from Köln/Bonn and Hamburg to Carinthia.
  • Austrian Airlines fly back and forth between Vienna and Klagenfurt up to 4x per day.
  • Easyjet offers direct flights on Saturdays from London Gatwick to Klagenfurt.

Airport Transfer from Klagenfurt or Salzburg to your holiday destination

Shuttle taxis from the airport straight to your holiday accommodation are available from just € 65,- per person (minimum fee: € 130,-).
