  • What’s your best time? New stop-watch app for your own ‘Grossglockner Berglauf’ uphill race

The route used annually for the international ‘Grossglockner Berglauf’ running competition has been made the subject of a virtual stop-watch (courtesy of the German start-up ‘meinberglauf’) – allowing runners and hikers to enter into their own private race on Austria’s longest and best-known uphill running track.

  • New Snow Machine in the Fleiss Valley

Guaranteed snow cover in the high-alpine terrain: Heiligenblut is fully equipped to counteract the effects of climate change.

When 75% of a ski area is situated at altitudes higher than 2000 metres, excellent snow reliability is practically a given. Visitors to the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut ski area can indeed look forward to pistes that are predominantly covered in natural snow, along with fantastic off-piste runs. However, the last two winters have shown that even in this high-alpine terrain – especially at the beginning of the season – full snow cover on all pistes cannot always be guaranteed.
